Bitter Sweet

Rosie: 3 months, Josie: 2.5 years, Evie: 7 weeks, Elsie: 7 months
the cutest little friends already

Bittersweet, thats really the best way to describe how I feel about us moving to Utah. For the past few months, Chase has been going through multiple interviews at a medical device company in Salt Lake City, C.R. Bard. They contacted him saying they found his resume in their database from a job he had applied for a while back. Because of his work with a chinese ultrasound company, he was an ideal candidate. Bard had recently decided to expand their product line into Asia and Europe and were looking for a group of people to head this new team. The process took a long time, and it was realllly hard not to get our hopes up. But things continued to progress and last week they offered Chase the job.
On one hand I wanted to jump up and down and scream and laugh and cheer that we FINALLY found a job. Then on the other I wanted to sit in the corner and cry thinking about leaving our friends and family here in Arizona. The heat on the other hand... Let me just say adios to that. I won't miss you one little bit. But in all honesty, I'm excited. I'm excited to start this new chapter in our lives. Taking this leap of faith that this is where we need to be! It will be fun to make new friends, in a new city, in a new house. All new and different. Change is something we struggle with, and I have no doubt that somedays will be so hard. But I have a feeling this is going to be a great adventure for our little family. And I'm so blessed to have them to share it with.

The Sun is Up

So I've been making a lot of wall art lately. Mostly for myself and for Elsie's room, but I also made a couple that I would like to share with you all! This print is an 8x10 and is perfect for any room in the house. And who doesn't love some good inspiration from the ohh so lovely Paul McCartney? You can click on the picture to download or you can also click HERE. Enjoy!

Workin' Woman

You guys! I've been mighty busy this past week. I have started designing for the amazing Designer Blogs. It is a dream come true, let me tell you! For now I am creating unique and fun templates and premade blogger designs. In the future (if my style is approved of by the blogging community) I will begin to do more custom design work. So as of now all my blog design work will be done through Designer Blogs. Mind you, this does not include paper designs; i.e. invitations, business cards and so forth. For those interested here are some of my designs. For more info head on over and check us out at www.designerblogs.com

a 7 month old stinkbug

We hung new curtains on the patio door... let's just say they are the best thing ever! Peek-a-boo and hide and seek all darn day. For some reason whenever I get the 'big' camera out Elsie get's all serious and not as smiley. But guys let me tell you, it's all smiles, giggles and screams over here. The joy such a little person can bring is seriously out of this world. The momma love I have for her scares the hell out of me. It's the kind of love that consumes your whole being, and you don't know how you would ever get by if something were to happen to her. I can't imagine life without her scrunched nose, gummy smile. It's like she never gets tired of seeing me and always wants to be right there with me. My little shadow that has become the best little friend. I love you little Mae bug.

six months

I havent written in a while. I've been pretty busy. Elsie is now a full blown crawler. Not to mention her love of climbing. She is keeping me on my toes. By the way, my little baby is SIX months old. half a year. What the heck!? Time is flying by faster than I thought possible.
This little baby that grew inside me is now a little person.
She has likes and dislikes and ohh does she have personality.
She loves her mama and thinks her daddy is hilarious.
Laying on the dogs and patting them until they get up and move is a fun game.
She is determined and strong, always wanting to stand up and explore every corner of the house.
She has recently taken up panting like a dog when she gets excited.
If there was an olympics for baby bouncing, Miss Elsie would get the gold medal.
Basically she is the spazziest, funnest, most energetic little person I've ever known.
These past 6 months, I have gotten to re-experience everything through the eyes of my little girl. I have taken a shower thousands of times. But ohh the excitement of tons of tiny water drops hitting our faces. It makes us silly and giggly. Food is an adventure. The little pieces that are so tricky for little hands and fingers to grab. But when we get it into our mouths the only thing appropriate is a long, loud, "mmmmmmm". But the best thing is mirrors. When you see yourself smiling back, you just have to yell and dance. And every small spec on the ground sparks our curiosity and we must get it, and of course, taste it. Letting everyone know how it tastes with loud "ga ga ga ga's" and "ma ma ma's. We are working on "dada" and I swear she is this close!
With how much fun Elsie's first 6 months have been I can only imagine how fun the next 6 will be. It is so true what they say about every stage getting more and more fun. We are living in the moment, and are so excited for the future. I couldn't imagine a better way to spend it.
I love my little family.
